Past IMAP Publications and Statements

Read Archived IMAP Statements:

The archived IMAP Statements offer access to decades of expert guidance produced by IPPF’s International Medical Advisory Panel (IMAP). Since 1979, IMAP has served as an independent body of leading medical scientists and SRHR specialists, advising IPPF and the broader sexual and reproductive health community. These Statements were developed to address emerging issues, evidence gaps, and programmatic challenges in SRHR, with recommendations grounded in the best available biomedical and public health evidence. Each bulletin reflects IMAP’s rigorous process—from identifying priority topics and involving technical experts to peer review and endorsement. Though archived, these documents remain a valuable resource for understanding the evolution of SRHR guidance and IPPF’s evidence-based approach over time.
