Our key achievements in 2024
We are pleased to share our key achievements at IPPF from 2024. We focussed on centring care on people, moving the sexuality agenda, nurturing our federation, and creating solidarity for change. Together we delivered 230.5m SRH services, to 67.5m clients, prevented 2.8m unsafe abortions and 9.2m unwanted pregnancies were averted. We also delivered 4.6m sexual and gender-based violence services, 27.0m HIV services and 6.5m abortion care services.
Together we made progress towards delivering on our 2023-2028 Come Together strategy, but as we enter into 2025 with increased opposition and the urgent need to defend SRHRJ rights, in the words of our Director-General Dr Alvaro Bermejo "we are even more committed and mobilized, standing firm in our service delivery points and in the streets, ready to push back against hate and extremism. When institutions lose their compass, it is for organized citizens to show direction. Ask the brave and angry women who have guided us all the way to the most intimate of rights."
