Green Light for IPPF in the Global Gender & Health Index 2026

The International Planned Parenthood Federation scores a full house of green ratings in the Global Gender Health and Equality Index 2026.

For another year, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) has topped the score index in the Global 50/50 ratings which track how the world's most influential health organisations perform on gender.

This annual report is the most comprehensive assessment of gender justice in the global health sector, using available evidence of policies, practices and published data of around 200 organisations to score their performance and make them accountable to their commitments.

IPPF has achieved a full house of 'Green' scores for 2026 in the Global 50/50 traffic light system, with no ambers or red scores, across categories such as:

  • Public commitment to gender equality
  • Board representation and inclusion policy
  • Definition of gender
  • Workplace fairness and equity policy
  • Workplace gender equality policy
  • Gender parity in senior management
  • Gender of the CEO
  • Sex disaggregation of evaluation and monitoring data

This places IPPF among the top organisations worldwide for our public commitments and workplace policies on gender equality, fairness, and equity.

The report also shares some positive news for the global health sector more broadly, with results this year indicating organisations have begun to regain ground after last year's across the board regression. Read the full report here: 2026 Report - Global 50/50
